As a school who prioritises the whole child and mental well-being, we understand the importance of, and pride ourselves on, our thorough transition process. Having a thorough transition project can support children to feel safe and secure, providing a link between the certainty of their current setting and their new one and building relationships between school and home. The aim of this process is to ensure that children are emotionally ready for school come September, so that they are ready for learning from Day 1 of school giving them the best possible start to their educational journey here at Chesterton.
