Reception

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Reception!  We are very excited to get to know you and your children as they start their learning journey with us. In Reception we use Tapestry to share learning at home, please check this regularly as this will also be used to update you on upcoming activities or events within the classroom, as well as being a fantastic tool for developing vocabulary by sharing memories from home. We are looking forward to working in partnership with you to help your children reach their full potential.

Below you will find some useful information about what your child will be learning.  This will be added to over the year and will cover what our curriculum focus is each term and the progression of phonics and maths skills. You will also find links to the parent presentations on how we teach Phonics and Maths and our Welcome to Reception presentation. 

If you have any questions about your child's learning, or about how they are settling in to the class, we are always available to chat at either drop off or pick up.
