Chesterton Primary School - Core Offer

This offer is common to schools within the South Cotswold Schools Partnership.

Chesterton Primary School values the contribution that every child can make and is supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress. The school seeks to raise the achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access to all. All children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) are valued, respected and considered equal members of the school. As such, provision for pupils with SEND is a matter for the school as a whole. All teachers are teachers of pupils with SEND. The Interim Local Governing Body, Headteacher, SENCo and all other members of staff are responsible for teaching children with SEND.  Quality first teaching is imperative to ensuring that children are able to access the learning in their setting, however, some children may need further support to achieve their targets. At Chesterton, this is done by using a range of differing provisions, as outlines in the whole school provision map below.

Our SENDCo is Mrs Kerry Buckland

She can be contacted at school on 01285 654796 or you can email her at kbuckland@chesterton.gloucs.sch.uk if you have any queries regarding SEND provision at Chesterton.
