Our writing challenge

Having completed our first 'hot write' in which we wrote an amazing journey story it is pretty clear to see where our challenge in writing lies!

We need to all work on our capital letters and our full stops. These are essential pieces of punctuation which we need to have secured by the end of this year.

Please could I ask that you encourage your child to write a few simple sentences throughout the week making sure they begin with a capital letter, use their phonic sounds in their spelling and end in a full stop. 

These sentences could be about anything. It could be about what they had for breakfast, their favourite TV show or even what they did with their toys when they woke up on Saturday morning.
